Thanks to Food Network star Guy Fieri, not only does Wilmington cuisine get featured worldwide, but our local girls charter school gets a big fundraising boost!

Today and tomorrow, Guy will be filming the Wilmington episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. He’ll be at Fork N Cork, Copper Penny, Something Fishy, Sweet n Savory Cafe, and Ceviche’s. Then on Friday he will host a lunch and a dinner which are both sold out for the charter school, GLOW Academy of Wilmington!  Thanks Guy! We appreciate you! And happy birthday! Hope you had fun yesterday!

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives is in its 28th season on the Food Network.

NC-Shot ‘Three Billboards’ scoops up Oscar Noms

JUST IN: “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” has scooped up quite a few Oscar nominations! Shot in May of 2016 in and near Asheville and Sylva, NC, these nominations are no surprise as it won four Golden Globes (out of the 7 nominations) including Best Drama Motion Picture. 

Oscar nominations include:
Best Picture
Best Original Score
Best Film Editing.
Best Original Screenplay
Best Actress: Frances McDormand
Actor in a Supporting Role: Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell
