While Under the Dome is still shooting episode 8 and 9 simultaneously, they are all over the place today.  It’s day two for director Peter Weller.  Cape Fear CW got a nice shot of him today at Greenfield Lake. The Domies will also be off of  Blue Clay Rd., One Tree Hill Way,  Wrightsville Ave. and the sound stages, too.

If you remember from last week, we discovered that Barbie indeed has a daddy, but we knew very little about him.  Brett Cullen sheds some light on his character, Don Barbara, in this week’s EW Community article! READ NOW!

Dwight Yoakam is back on set again today, and more new Domies are popping up.  Our super hero Ben Winchell tweeted all about it.

The F*Bombs in the Short Session.

I decided to take a quick nap this afternoon and I turned on the live stream to listen to the  short session.  While the legislators were debating the fracking bill today, one representative who was against it mentioned in a rebuttal in regards to Lee County  that he got over two hundred emails from locals in his county there that were against it as they were very worried and had health concerns about fracking.  Another legislator who was for fracking replied with something like, “There are 60,000 people that live in Lee County so those against it are not in the majority.”

My eyes popped wide open.  There it is.  Proof.  The representatives do listen to the residents of their county.  I am quite sure that more than 200 people from Lee County oppose fracking.  They just didn’t take the time to write a damn email, to contact their elected officials in any way.

This is the very same issue we are having with the film incentives.  There are thousands more people who support the film incentives, but they are not willing to take the time, two minutes mind you, to craft a quick note letting their elected officials know that they support the film incentives, that they support the 25% film incentive, that they want to end the sunset because it is the only way to grow our industry and make it stronger.

You know what else they were talking about? Jobs. Jobs. Jobs.  Fracking will create jobs.  Well, guess what?  The film industry does it better and does it cleaner.  They wanna create jobs?  Great!  We are all about that.   The film industry needs so many people from all walks of life that have all kinds of skill sets.  And our clean industry sure as hell pays better, too.  That’s what the film incentives have done.  Created AND maintained well paying  jobs here in NC.

This is the moment.  This is your moment.  What are you going to do about it?  Sit back and say, someone else will do it?  We can’t be the 200.  We must be the 200,000!  Enough of the excuses. No one here in North Carolina is TOO busy to help save the film industry.  Our industry. No one.

HBO picks up new Danny McBride/Jody Hill series.

Remember when Eastbound and Down was filming here last summer and we are discussing a high school series Danny McBride and Jody Hill were creating for HBO (see blog)?  Well, the show has a name and it got picked up!  The Home Box Office is giving them 18 episodes of Vice Principals.  It’s about the folks who “almost” run the school.  Now we wait and see WHERE they shoot it. Rumors are already swirling about them making sweet eyes at Wilmington yet again.  Let’s hope so!  I will keep you posted! (SOURCE THR)

Matt Barr returns to Wilmywood; Sakina Jaffrey joins Sleepy Hollow PD

TV Line is reporting that our One Tree Hill alum Matt Barr will return to Wilmywood for Sleepy Hollow as the bounty hunter Nick Hawley, who just happens to be quite dashing.  He will be aiding  Ichabbie on a supernatural case for season 2.  Now, reportedly Nikki Bahaie’s character might see some romance come her way this time around, but although many of us want Abbie to be with Ichabod, could we see her eyeing up this handsome fellow?  After all, TV Line does say he has a “sense of humor and a bit of swagger. ”  Welcome back to Wilmywood, Matt!

Today, also revealed another reoccurring character that will be making her way to Sleepy Hollow.  While the sleepy fans wish to FREE FRANK IRVING, a new sheriff comes to town.  Sakina Jaffrey who will play Leena Reyes is coming in to replace Irving at the SHPD who we last saw was on his way upstate.  Her character is described as being “smart, forceful, highly trained and commanding” with a warm maternal side.

So, the question for us all to ponder… Will she make Abbie and Ichabod’s life a living heaven or hell?
